Firehøje IF helps Jelling Musicfestival
In 2001 Firehøje IF was contacted be Jelling FS with an offer to cooperate about the camp at Jelling Musicfestival.
On December 23rd 2001 a bunch of football guys were gathered a agreed to gie the idea a shot. That was the beginning of something great, facilitating the camp for the Festival.
Through the years, the camp grew in area, numbers of participants and volunteers.
During Jelling Musicfestival 2022, 425 volunteer helpers were involved in the many different tasks that needs to be done to run the camp.
Some are busy before the start of the Festival putting up fence arorund the camp area and marking the fire exits and routes while others are busy during the Festival days. We run "Prebens Grill" a very popular food stall, but also takes care of fire security, garbage collecting and the Camp-info stand.
Why would you want to be a volunteer on the camp?
First of all - it's a lot of fun!
Secondly the Festival donates money to Firehøje IF for every hours work that is done by our volunteers. So you can support handball, fitness, gymnastics or what Firehøje department you prefer - with the tasks you solve.
Last, but not least, every helper recieves a Jelling Music Festival t-shirt PLUS a full-time entrance ticket to the whole Jelling Music Festival.

How do I register as a volunteer to the Camp?
Send an e-mail to jmf-camp@live.dk, and recieve a registration form.
Can I be certain to have duties if I register?
We try our best to give duties to everyone registered, but the sooner you register, the better chance. If you had duties last year you will most likely be offered the same tasks next year.
What er the demands?
That you meet in with good energy and a positive spirit. When you register you sign a binding contract. We expect the demands specified in the contract to be met. We are many volunteers, so it is more fun work than hard work.
How many hours is a duty?
Normally campworkers are on watch for approximately 8 hours.
Can I decide when to work?
You can send whishes about when to work, but we do not guarantee that your wish is fullfilled.
How old must you be?
On the camp-site you must be at least 18 years old.
In the foodstall you must be at least 16 years old, but helpers from the age of 14 can be accepted if they ar accompanied by an adult (parent).
What's in it for me?
You recieve a full-time entrancecard to the Jelling Music Fastival, which is the 5th largest music fastival i Denmark. Add to tah a Jelling Musicx Festival T-shirt and a good amount til Firehøje IF - the department you choose to support.
What happens if I do not show up to my duty?
That happens rarely. But if it happens - you will be billed the full price of the entrance card and a quarantine as a volunteer at Jelling Musicfestival.
Should you be ill or by other reasons legally prevented from solving your tasks you must immediatedly contact the person mentioned in your contract.
Can I work together with my friends?
Register as a group and we shall do what is possible to give you duties together.
How do I have my entrance armband?
Before the Festival starts you will recieve an e-mail with information about how to have yor armband.
Where can I sleep during the Festival?
As a volunteer you camp on the same premises as the Festival participants. Bring your own tent and camp with friends - its great fun.
